Lepidosaphes beckii (Newman)

Lepidosaphes beckii has similar behaviour as reported for Chrysomphalus aonidum. This species also forms hard shell and could be found on any of the succulent parts of the plants. Due to heavy infestation the plants becomes weak and yellow marks appear on the leaves, twigs and fruits. Defoliation and dieback may result in severely infested tree/orchards.

Production procedure

Lepidosaphes beckii is produced as if diaspine scale insects were produced.
